Loving this… projection mapping and performance
“Trailer for Amon Tobin’s all new, highly ambitious, breathtaking ‘ISAM’ live show. Tobin will be stepping away from previous DJ centric performances, and instead will be providing a large scale live audio/visual experience to select cities around the world. Designed in conjunction with Blasthaus, VSquared Labs, Vita Motus Design, Leviathan and others.”
This is the kind of work that literally blows my mind.
I only wish they were playing NYC soon…

Welcome UNICEF :)
We are absolutely psyched, proud, and honored to add the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to our amazing list of clients.

An organization dedicated to directly helping children in need around the world, we get to work with the UNICEF Communications group advising and assisting with their Social/Digital efforts: raising awareness, getting the stories out there and helping people share.
One of our former bosses at Deutsch Advertising, Peter Drakoulias, had a saying we still love (and give him credit every time we use it):
“Some things you do for the rent, some things you do for the reel, some things you do because it is right.”
Needless to say, not only are we excited, but this work is easily in the right category

Transmedia FTW
Tuesday Oct 26th, Jeff Gomez (@jeff_gomez) of Starlight Runner Entertainment gave a Master-class as part of a series of discussions hosted by the Producers Guild of America. ScribeMedia produced the video of the presentation and the Q&A that followed.
It was a GREAT presentation. Looking at Transmedia and storytelling from a big picture perspective, nearly EVERYTHING Jeff presented could apply to making any storytelling project. As my notes were destroyed by accident I will embed the videos here. The total runtime of all 3 videos is almost 2 hours, but worth every second. Good stuff here:

Chance Favors The Connected Mind
Video promoting the new book by Steven Johnson (we are big fans). Love the content and the way it was played out.

Beautiful Design AND Code…
Found at Gizmodo, this is Canvas Cycle: True 8-bit Color Cycling with HTML5. The artwork was done by Mark Ferrari and the code/animation by Joseph Huckaby.
It’s some beautiful work. Check out the following link:
http://www.effectgames.com/demos/canvascycle/?sound=1 and hit the left/right buttons above the illustration to scroll through the different worlds/lighting/execution these guys pulled off. We are definitely filing this under “Things We Love”.

Vuvuzelas for BP

Quirk has launched a campaign to park a horde of vuvuzela-players in front of BP headquarters in London. He raised over $6,000 for the Gulf Disaster Fund in the process. It has been covered by every major news organization from CNN to the BBC.
